Caleb is revealed to be the driver of the Hummer that wrecked the player’s car in Olympic City. The player soon gains fame and sponsorship deals from winning races and attracts the attention of “The Wraiths” and their leader, Caleb Reece. The player arrives in Bayview, buys his first car using the money provided by the insurance on his totaled Nissan Skyline, and starts racing again. A man with a scythe tattoo on his hand calls to confirm that he “took care of a problem.” Six months later, the player boards a plane to Bayview with a good luck note from Samantha that also refers to her friend, Rachel Teller. After a race, the player is called by an unidentified man with an “invitation” to join his team and that he “is not taking no for an answer.” The player ends the call without answering and starts driving to a party but is ambushed by a Hummer H2 that rams his Nissan Skyline GT-R, wrecking it. The story begins after the player has beaten Eddie and his street gang, “The Eastsiders”, along with Melissa in Olympic City and is now revered as the best street racer in Olympic City. There is also the issue of tracability when it comes to storing the various files. If you are also trying to make it in a highly competitive market where espionage may be a concern then this could be a show stopper. The software is cloud based so things can get very slow if you network is not the best or is loaded. There is truly loads of powerful features for the modelling and the manufacturing side of the program that we had come to expect from only very high end CAM programs. Coming from a traditional CAD environment we very much like being able to create components on the fly in assemblies and being able to throw the assemblies straight into CAM. So far though we still have not been able to convince ourselves that it would be a good idea. Here in Emvioeng we have been evaluating the possibility of using Fusion 360 exclusively for our needs in CAD/CAM. Autodesk Fusion 360 came along at the tail end of 2013 with significant power behind it and some of the high impact factor blogs and vlogs (like CNCCookbook and NYC CNC) talked about it at length.īeing free for a year for hobby and startups is something that cannot be sniffed at. I must say that I am inclined to agree…partly. If necessary, I can come up with a sample file that shows my situation, but I'd like to understand the best practices over spoon feeding. Some would say that finally there is a CAD/CAM package that is suitable for the small/medium enterprises that are looking to make it in the makers world. This seems tedious, so maybe there is a better way. I ask this because if I want to get a 2D DXF output of each part, I have to create a named view perpendicular to a face and then use that for the drawing. What is the right way to take a component placed in an arbitrary position and make it ready for CAM? In particular, my 3D models may be made of components that are positioned in space (in particular, not placed on any of their 'XY, XZ, YZ' planes) but when seen from a certain angle, flat with a thickness equivalent to the stock material. Assuming that part is taken care of, meaning the cutting process and the machine are tuned in and provide satisfactory results with test cuts, I would like to learn the 'state of the art' CAM workflow in Fusion360 for this application. Hello, so far I feel confident in the 3D modeling in Fusion 360.
